I am trying to remember the title, and other details of a play that opens with somebody writing Christmas cards, and sorting out the "yeses", "the "maybes", and the "not on you Nellys"! The setting is a country house whose owners have fallen on hard times. In the play, various creditors arrive, demanding payment. One by one they are hustled into a particular wing of the house and plied with dandelion and burdock. I think it must have been an alcoholic variety, as the creditors ended up singing Christmas songs in a drunken manner! They were obviously distracted from proceeding in their efforts to get payment. _________________ David Lamb

Hello David
Welcome to the Forum
The only play I can remember where everybody seems to sing is "After Dinner Ghost Stories".
I will do some research and get back to you

David
I put your question to a number of contacts, they all were unable to identify it. Shame because it sounds good. |
